Maxine Meixner is a writer and spoken word poet based in London, UK.

Her poetry taps into the beautiful vulnerability, chaos and truth of the human experience, delivered with humour and warmth. Maxine has featured at some of the most prominent poetry nights in London (Spit Nights, Poet’s Palace, Gutter Street, Storytime) and has performed in the Institute of Curious Minds tent at Lost Village Festival. She was the winner of One Night Poetry Slam in November 2025.

Maxine’s viral poem I Hope You Make It has been viewed more than thirteen million times collectively and been shared by the likes of actor Patsy Palmer, drag icon Brooklyn Heights, and the legendary Viola Davis, who also posted the poem to her Instagram grid.

Maxine also writes fiction, plays, and page poetry.
